1. General Introduction

Guizhou Jiao Tong college is a full-time higher vocational college authorized by the People's Government of Guizhou Province and registered in the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is the only national demonstrative higher vocational college in Guizhou Province. The educational goals and tasks of our college are to train high-skilled professionals in the fields of transportation construction, management and service. Furthermore, the college aims to train practical and skillful high-end professionals in the fields of economy, information technology, tourism, computers, art, logistics and shipping to actively meet the needs of social development. We have a large number of graduates all over China.

2.The admission requirements for international applicants

 

2.1.Educational requirements

Graduates are required to have a high school diploma or above or an equivalent qualification and should be allowed to be admitted into the vocational colleges or universities in their home-country.

 

2.2.Language requirements

All the courses are entirely in Chinese language. A good command of Chinese language is crucial for a successful application to Guizhou Jiao Tong College.

Applicants from non-Chinese speaking countries must meet the college's entry requirements in order to apply for a higher vocational academic education in our college.

International students who have passed HSK-3 and HSK-4 can gain a scholarship.

 

3.Departments and Majors

 

There are seven departments in our college planning to recruit international students, consisting of Road and Bridge Engineering Department, Automotive Engineering Department, Architecture Engineering Department, Management Engineering Department, Information Engineering Department, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Department, and Logistics Department.

 

3.1.The Department of Road and Bridge Engineering

Founded in 1958, the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering is one of the backbone departments in this college. Currently, there are 6 majors consisting of road and bridge engineering technology (highway detecting technology and highway project supervision), highway maintenance and management, cost management of road project, underground engineering and tunnel engineering, and engineering technology of urban railway transits. In 2002, it was approved to be the Department of Higher Vocational Education Reform. In 2007, it was selected as the unit to promote the specialty construction of national demonstrative vocational education.

 

3.2. The Department of Automobile Engineering

The Department of Automobile Engineering is the backbone department of Guizhou Jiao Tong college. There are 6 specialties including automobile application technology, automobile shaping technology, automobile electronic technology, automobile inspection and maintenance, automobile technology service and marketing, as well as automobile technology service and marketing ( for the direction of car insurance and claims).

 

3.3. The Department of Management Engineering

The Department of Management Engineering was established based on the computerized accounting, secretarial, travel and hotel management, economic information management and computer application technology in 2003. The young department has energetic, pioneering and innovative spirit and it has been a great achievement since then. Now, department of management engineering has set up ten specialties. They are tourism management, computerized accounting, marketing, economic information management, security technology management, hotel management, tourism performing arts, handicrafts and production design, e-commerce and flight attendance.

 

3.4. The Department of Architectural Engineering

The Department of Architecture Engineering was established in November 2005. It built teaching system with the development of the times in connection with strong demand for talent in the construction industry. It engages in the administration building industry, construction, building design, engineering supervision, civil measurement, project cost, real estate development and bidding agent work. There are seven construction engineering specialties of construction techniques, building design, architectural engineering technology, construction costs, engineering survey and supervision, construction engineering (traffic civil direction) and more than 1,000 students in the department.

 

3.5. The Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering

The Department of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering is the youngest department and committed to reform and innovate. It is actively exploring "colleges-enterprises liaison" educational system. Mechanical and Electronic Engineering Dept. is currently market-oriented to meet national and social needs of high-quality, highly skilled personnel. Dept. of Mechanical and Electronic Engineering currently has 6 specialties (11 major directions) in which engineering machinery control technology is the national-demonstration construction specialty. These specialties are engineering machinery control technology, numerical control technology, mechatronics, mechanical manufacturing and automation, intelligent traffic control technology, navigation.

 

3.6. The Department of Information Engineering

The Department of Information Engineering has set up computer network technology, computer application technology (the direction of architectural-aided design), software technology (transportation construction direction), communications technology, application of electronic technology, multimedia design and production (art), computer art design (art), computer application technology (fast-record and customer service orientation information), and computer application technology (logistics information technology direction) nine specialties.

 

3.7. The Department of Logistics

Logistics engineering was established in 2013 and has now opened atransportation-hub operationsmanagement,express operation management,chain-store operation management, e-commerce and logistics management, etc

3.8. The Department of Track Engineering

Track engineering was established in 2018 and has now opened communication and signal technology, Traffic Electromechanical technology,Traffic operation management etc

 

 

 

 

4. Study Period

 

Students entering the higher vocational college diploma will start in September each year and study for 3 years.(If applicants have not passed HSK-3 before coming to our college, you need to take Chinese language learning courses lasting from 3 months to 1 year)

Students of Chinese language learning program will start in March or September each year and study for six months or one year.

 

5. Tuition and Financial Documentation

 

- Tuition: RMB 3,500-7000 per year (tuition fees vary in different majors)

- Accommodation fee: RMB 1,200 per year

- Extras: (textbook fees, medical insurance fee, school uniform fee, etc.)RMB 2000 per year(approximately)

Before Chinese consulate grant you a visa, you must prove that you have enough money to support all of the expenses during your study in China. You must explain the source of funds and make sure that you will receive it during your study in China.

*Our school will provide a partial or full scholarships to excellent international student institute plans to enroll (need to pass the HSK levels HSK3, HSK4 or above).

 

6.Students'Application Materials and Visa

 

6.1.Application Materials Required

1. Fill in the International Students’ Application Form of Guizhou Jiao Tong College and send it via post or E-mail. (original and copy)

2. The following documents are enclosed with your application form:

(1) a resume and a Chinese translation

(2) a copy of the certificate of the highest education qualification and a Chinese translation

(3) a copy of the foreigner's physical examination form

(4) a copy of the valid passport

 

Note: All materials mentioned above should be sent to the International Education Department of Guizhou Jiao Tong College via post or E-mail.

6.2. Chinese Visa, Physical Examination and Proof of Residence

1. The applicants who have been admitted should apply to the Chinese Embassy or Consulate for a study abroad visa in China by providing their passports, admission letters, visa application form for foreign students studying abroad in China and the foreigner's physical examination record. All materials mentioned above should be original documents and students should keep these materials for entry into China.

 

2.After registration, the applicants should have a physical examination at the local health department. Make sure to bring your passports and  the original foreigner physical examination record.

 

3. Within 30 days from the date of entry into China, the applicants should apply for a residence permit at the local public security department with their passport, admission letter, visa application form for foreign students studying abroad in China and foreigner physical examination record.

 

*Students should bear the expenses of visa and Physical Examination in China.
